About Us

Understanding your future life goals and helping you to achieve them.

Making a difference is hugely important at Aligned Advice, supporting people through all of life’s financial challenges and successes right though into retirement and beyond. With over 20 years’ experience in financial advice, Harj Gill became an independent adviser early on, keen to tailor his services to individual client needs, the ways they like to work and their dreams for the future.

“Giving personal advice that makes sense is the most important thing for me. Knowing my clients understand our decisions and why it’s the right choice for them. Getting them to where they want to be and building a genuine relationship of trust, helping them in the ways they want to be helped.

Whether it’s helping them to save for life’s key milestones, tidying up finances and pensions, or supporting people who are worried about their parents, I want them to feel that they’re in safe hands, leaving them free to get on with their lives. Life is already complicated enough, and financial planning shouldn’t have to be.”

Fees and legal information:

Fees will always depend on the specific advice you need and the work we have to do. After our first meeting and initial analysis, I’ll be in a clearer position to know what advice I can give and what the cost will be.

Fees are typically broken down over two stages of work to have the advice set up, and a third stage for ongoing advice.

Stage 1: Ad hoc and pre-recommendation work is typically charged between £750 – £1,750 per advice case.

Stage 2: Advice and recommendations including carrying out the advice (“implementation”) fees range from £3,750 – £10,000 per advice case. The underlying fee is calculated as a percentage of the funds being advised, as 3% of the first £250,000, 2% of the next £250,000, and 1% thereafter.

Stage 3: Our ongoing advice service consists of a full review each year and can include mini-reviews and meetings throughout the year. This is charged at 0.75% pa of the underlying value of the plan, subject to a minimum of £150 pm for non-drawdown / withdrawals, and £225 pm for drawdown/withdrawals.

One of the key areas of your annual review is to ensure the advice remains suitable. Your needs and circumstances may change over time, and we’re here to ensure that what we advise remains the right solution for you.
